Traditionally at the Uckfield Business Awards we have collected a ten or twenty pound note from you but we all know that in 2022, many of you reading this will have left home without any actual cash! Payment by card and even via our smart phones is commonplace so our charity fund-raiser this evening has moved with the times.

Here’s what you’ll be helping… Founded in 1995 and run entirely by volunteers, Friends of Sussex Hospices raises awareness and vital financial support for the 13 hospice care providers serving the adults and children of Sussex. Because the charity has no paid staff, none of the money we raise goes on salaries. This maximises the amount we can give towards our hospices’ substantial running costs. Thanks to your generosity and that of many others, we have to date distributed £3.25 million to the thirteen hospice care providers we support.

You choose whether you give £10, £20 or £50… Each £10 donation will buy you one ticket into our prize draw. We’ll then distribute £500 in prize money: first £300, second £150 and third £50, subject to a minimum of 100 entries…
